Eastern Visit for Playbus
On Wednesday 17th September, Pyramids Playbus played
host to 42 Japanese students and their teachers. The
students toured our purpose built double decker bus,
met our experienced and qualified staff and played
with some of the children who use the Playbus. They
also showed the youngsters how to do some simple Origami.
The Students visited the Playbus as part of a 10
day tour of England and Scotland. All students of
‘Child Culture and Developmental Clinical Psychology’,
they were in Britain to observe different types of
education provision available in the UK.
They visited the Playbus when the bus was based in
the car park of the Bucks Head Public House, Thwaite.
The Landlord of the Buck’s Head kindly agreed to open
early to serve as a base for the students. Our Playleader,
Sara Clarke, took them in small groups around the
Playbus.
Toyo Keiyana (Tony) organiser of the visit expressed
his thanks to Pyramids Playbus staff and committee
and they were very impressed with the high level of
standard or care and education that the Playbus has
to offer.
